Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar reported a team of mountaineering students here today and said that a unique mountaineering program would be formulated for students, under which a student who will climb one of 10 higher peaks will receive a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh.

The chief minister said that a team of 75 students and teachers from various public schools in the state, together with the school education department and the Chandigarh National Adventure Club, will go mountaineering. at Mount Yunam located at a height of 6,111 meters in the Lahaul region. of Himachal Pradesh.

He added that 25 specially disabled students are also part of the mountaineering team.

Mountaineering programs for grade school students started in 2016, in collaboration with Sainik School, Kunjpura.
