“We are very excited to embellish the bones of two of our long-term crows in our new comfy tech clothing,” said Tristan Droppert, Marketing Director for North America. “Bird and Callum have been with us for many years and together developing the product line and our outerwear squadron is a good thing. Bird’s wild and graceful practice in the backcountry of the North Cascades is a perfect proving ground for the equipment and our new Xpore membrane. Likewise, Callum’s multifaceted and playful approach to riding black crow snow offers us an excellent opportunity to develop kits that are perfect for their needs.

“I live to ski, so being part of the Ravens team and joining them for clothes and stuff is a great opportunity,” says Pettit. “The Black Crows outerwear is a great balance of style and function and the Xpore Freebird kit is already one of my favorites – comfortable, lightweight and a great outfit for hiking in the mountains.”

Bird is a freeskier from Washington who currently resides in the Methow Valley. He has spent over 24 years exploring and skiing some of the most technical terrain in PNW and the Alps, particularly the Chamonix Valley terrain. Bird has featured in several Warren Miller Entertainment films and other films, owns the first runs on Rainier and the North Cascades, and continues to push the boundaries of skiing and fast flight.

“As an ambassador of the Black Crow from the start, I have watched the progression of outerwear development from the start,” says Bird. “Over the past few seasons there have been huge advancements both with the technical details and the styling of their products. With everything made in Europe and the material relying on new eco-friendly fabrics, going at full throttle was not easy for me and opens up opportunities to have full scope.
